The work we did on Mars Attacks helped Tim Burton to decide the eventual fate of the movie's production.  The argument was originally in favor of a stop motion solution, and then they ran into the unwanted refracted light and imagery passing randomly through the Martian's glass dome.  There was no way to correct frames in post production this way so the computer solution proposed by ILM became the answer to the problem.

This model is in the private collection of Tim Burton and stands at over 22" tall with a fully animatible ball and socket steel armature and a real hand blown glass dome.
